THE 2019 B ordeaux RELEASE T he much anticipated release of the 2019 Bordeaux has something for every palate, from the serious collector to the curious beginner. On November 19, 2022 BCLIQUOR will release the 2019 Bordeaux around the province. This is the first time we will have access to the most famous châteaux from this vintage and collectors will line up to purchase Pétrus, Angélus, Lafite Rothschild and Margaux from the early hours in the morning. Wine lovers that are just starting their adventures with Bordeaux or who are looking for something that will deliver pure pleasure in a glass will find much to like about the 2019 vintage. The wines have lovely pure fruit and ripe tannins with each region and vineyard leaving its own distinctive mark of terroir. On the Left Bank, the Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines from Haut- Médoc and sub-appellations of St-Estèphe, Pauillac, St-Julien and Margaux are dense with cassis fruit, sweet herbs and firm structure. Most of these will benefit from some time in the cellar to smooth out the tannins and gain the complex flavours that aging can bring. Wines from the Right Bank can be softer and more approachable in youth, particularly those from appellations like Fronsac where some of the best value wines are sourced. BCLIQUOR is offering two favourites this year: Château de la Dauphine and Château la Vieille Cure. Wines from St-Émilion can be silky with flavours that include dark plum, wild flowers and spice. We have a range of wines from early drinking beauties like Château Rol Valentin to elegant classics like Château Fourtet.
