Château Beauregard, Pomerol “Gorgeously expressive aromatics on the nose - ripe blackcurrants, violets and dark chocolate scents pour out of the glass. Fleshy and ripe tannins have a liquorice and salty edge which combine to give both a sense of richness and mineral bite while soft acidity and cool blue fruit add freshness and lift. A lovely balance between the clear power and seduction of Pomerol in hot vintages but with a light touch in terms of density. Feels really well made, precise and poised. Organic.” 95 pts, Georgina Hindle, Decanter 332938 $180

Château Beauséjour, St‑Émilion Grand Cru

“A heady nose of sun-kissed fruit, tobacco, dried herbs and floral notes. Bright acidity gives energy and excitement, lifting the fruit profile. Tension and persistence come through with liquorice, aniseed and graphite, while ripe strawberries and cherries add charm. Salty, chalky tannins shape the finish. Clean, precise and already enjoyable, yet built for ageing. A flawless wine that has maintained its promise from the en primeur tastings, effortlessly showcasing ripeness and sophistication.” 98 pts, Georgina Hindle, Decanter 272846 $375
